I started training when I was 13 years old. Despite not having very much money and thanks to a generous Father, I got signed up for Brazilian Jiu jitsu, Kickboxing, and MMA at the same gym as my older brother Ryder. I took to it quite naturally as I have a strong ability to learn. Jiu jitsu became my first platform for self discovery and discipline, something productive and practical I could apply myself to, and a much needed outlet from homelife and school. My coach Eduardo Mori took me under his wing, on and off the mats, and trained me to fight in the largest Jiu Jitsu World Tournaments. I went on to win 6 World titles across the two most prestigious world tournaments, namely; ADCC and IBJJF. Fighting both in the Gi and No-Gi, I had the opportunity to compete and find additional successes as a 10x American National Champion, 2x Pan American Champion, and became the first American Woman to win my division in ADCC, in an open weight bracket. After competing and teaching seminars internationally, I got married and moved to Savannah, Georgia, where I now continue to grow my skills and share my knowledge of Jiu Jitsu at Victory Academy.
